Why it makes me happy - I was playing pretty well...could have been better....but the dude I was pitted against was playing out of his socks...on HIS home turf. He had 3 holes down with 4 to go.  I striped it on those last 4 holes. I wish I could have made a putt or two (and..yeah..they were close)...to get the win. Very happy to get the tie and get a point for the team.

My rule..IF you want to bitch about anything in life, you better celebrate when that same thing goes well.  My appointment was at 9 a.m....I was out at 9:17....it would have been even faster if an elderly lady before me had not failed her re-exam (was kind of sad for her).  The delay wasn't DMV's fault.  And.....at about 20 minutes....can I even say there was a delay? Nope!

Why it happened - I caught a break
Why it makes me happy - this is a perfect demonstration of a HappyUP!!! I have 2 convenient places to cross the track. The train and I were travelling in the same direction. It just caught my first option and tripped the crossing arms.  I caught the green light there.....and went to the next option....which involves a left hand turn signal.....the signal turned in perfect timing for me to safely cross....and not have to wait for the train.  Most people don't appreciate it when lights do that......but they sure would grouse if the light went red....it's a "no win" for many.  My postulate: if you are going to bitch about something going wrong.....you have to celebrate that same thing when it goes right.

Sad News

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.

Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies and Captain Crunch. The gravesite was piled high with flours. Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded.

Born and bread in Minnesota, Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough; three children, John Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

Why it makes me happy - great speech from Dr. Don.....if I was in a position where I had a baby...especially one that was experiencing colic.....he'd be the FIRST place I would go.  A great case for a newborn to get an adjustment upon arriving into this world. It kind of makes sense.....kid was kinda cramped up for months...then got tugged and jostled to come into this place...might be a good idea to "straighten em up."

Why it makes me happy - I get up.....great fun helping out....then after dropoff we get some great brekko.....wander upon an adoptive kitten and get some plants in the same shopping complex........then I get to play some team play to defend our golf club....play with some WONDERFUL guys that I have never met before....in addition to a partner from my own club that I have never met before who is a great guy too........NIRVANA DAY!

Why it makes me happy - not my best day on the links....I was one down. My opponent put one in the fairway. I couldn't take out my "BIG STICK" and risk going 2 down off the tee. I put one of my best swings of the day on that hybrid....almost hit it too far. Then...a pefect wedge to about 4 feet. Birdie!!! Evened my match....and ended up getting the individual win
