HappyUP!!! - a visit to the hospital

Why it happened -a friend's wife
Why it makes me happy - OK, I don't think of myself as the best "visitor." Well, guess what? I'm better than I thought. THAT alone could be the HappyUP!!! to acknowledge that in myself. YET, that isn't even part of the equation.  This lady was in serious trouble initially from a stroke. I was getting lots of reports. It was time for me to go for first hand observation. From where she was to where she is? It's nothing short of AMAZING! YES, she has a long way to go BUT between what I saw in her eyes and from what I could understand in her speech, her and her husband are going to get her as far as possible. THAT made this a SuperHappyUP!!! to me....and I know she is going to improve even more rapidly when she finally gets to come HOME in a week!

HappyUP!!! - a great lunch speaker
Why it happened -I go to stuff
Why it makes me happy - this lady's story was pretty incredible. She teaches counter-terrorism at a college now. How do you get that job? It helps if you are an ex-CIA and FBI spy! Between her talk and the FREE BOOK (I LOVE free stuff), lots of interesting information!

HappyUP!!! - small talk
Why it happened -I was at an event
Why it makes me happy -OK...I actually don't care much for small talk. You know how you get to LARGE talk...you have to do some small talk.  "What do you do?"  "I'm a kidney replacement nutritionist." "You tell people what to eat before a transplant?"  "No. Actually, it's about exercise to get them strong enough for the REPLACEMENT. We don't do transplants." "What?"  "Unless it's too big or is diseased, we leave the old kidney in the person. I know of one person that has 6 kidneys."  I LOVE learning about stuff like that!

HappyUP!!! - how to get happier
Why it happened -I was at an event
Why it makes me happy - my alma mater is actually doing a course based on the EXACT SAME STUFF that I have been working on here for almost 2 decades.  I LOVE the idea of that. I got an opportunity to chat with the professor regarding his findings and my research and practices. We will be staying in touch.
The human brain is SO unknown. It gave me joy that students are being exposed to things I had to stumble upon myself!
