Why it makes me happy - LOVE seeing so many at the meeting....and we had people that were absent as well.  The Area Director stopped by....we had a guest....three speeches....afterward, one member who is going to be missing every other week for a bit due to work conflict said, "I HATE not being able to come here!"  Yeah.....it's that good

As a matter of fact, there is a chance that I NEVER have.  Anyway, I experienced a touch of euphoria as I coasted into that known pumphouse that I sought after! You may think it's a "little deal".....but...you would be missing the entire point of the HappyUP!!! You have to think of the alternative that could have EASILY happened.  (NO....the car I was in doesn't have the "you have this many miles to go" computer.....this was old school, Maynard!)

Why it makes me happy - the 9 iron into 18 had a ton riding on it for me personally. I wasn't sure of the distance or if I had the right club. When that baby left the club face, I had inner feeling, "YES!!! I'm going to have a chance!!!"  It's a combination of when opportunity and execution come together. Possibly in that category of what is known as a FLOW state. Nope...didn't make the putt today... but I gave it a chance

Put it in the bunker next hole...but got that out for a gimmie to once again stay alive.  Off into the trees on 16...punched it out green high...pitched to a gimmie.  I had the opportunity at the half way mark. Something just kept me grinding to keep things alive.  It's a part of me that I LOVE when it's present....and it is...in many areas.  I need to give that guy a suuuuhhhweeeeet name!

Why it makes me happy - all birdies are great....but par 3 birdies can have a more spectacular nature. First, everyone is standing in one place watching.  Second, if ya "stuff it," it gets everyone going. I'm not talking hitting one where you end up making a 30 foot putt. It's a nice shot and all. It just doesn't have that "that's heading right at the pin" excitement while watching the pill drift down from space. My partner did it THREE times today!!! Holy G-Mackeral, Batman!

Why it makes me happy- I didn't even realize this was going to be one of my building blocks. It just came to me. What a great story! It also made me realize something about me that I never knew. This was just flat out awesome stuff!!!

Why it happened - a ripped three wood and a perfect wedge

Why it makes me happy - first, it was good to get A BIRDIE today after missing two Largo putts on the front 9.  Second,  my partner and I were getting the beat down put on us all day. He REALLY stepped it up by throwing down that 34 on the back 9. I had a couple of ooopsies....but I picked up the greenies with SOLID iron shots on the back 9......and then capped it off and we snatched victory out of the jaws of defeat.  THAT is a triumphant feeling! Come on....if that doesn't make one happy, toss away the golf sticks!!!

Why it makes me happy- Longoria's homer was timely too.  While the weekend split with the D-backs is better than losing the series, it is going to take miraculous play for the G-men to make the playoffs.  I don't see it in them but....hey....who knows!

Why it happened - I was looking at something else

Why it makes me happy - OK...so I want to start being able to finger pick better. While getting a little instruction on that, I came across a quick little lesson on doing one of my favorite blues songs.  The great thing is that I already know how to do a lot of the stuff.....I just didn't know it all went into this song and into the key the instructor was using.  No doubt this one is going to be staying in the bag of tricks once I put an arrangement on it

Why it makes me happy - I had to be told by the news that it happened. It's testimony to the fact that I don't participate in a daily practice of needing to know 1) who just got engaged 2) where someone is on vacation 3) what someone made/was served for dinner last night.  FB has a lot more down to it than upside in my book.

Why it makes me happy - when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. The timing on this is amazing. Now, could it be that I have been doing some searching and this "miraculously showed up" due to algorhythms being run in the background? It's possible. In this case, I think it was more synchronicity/serendipity....two words that I dig! Great lesson

Why it makes me happy - it's what you are supposed to do. After all, it may have been 180 yards away....but it was where I was aiming. Sure, it could have gone in. It also could have gone way past the hole. Nice tap in birdie.

Why it makes me happy - this song has come up over and over in my lifetime. I have always really dug it. Mostly, it's Campbell's voice (that I got none of) that makes the song. Well...that and the fact that Jimmy Webb wrote a FANTASTIC tune.  Anyway, I am going to work on this one and add this to the arsenal.

Why it makes me happy - see above. It was a nice morning. Front porch noodling is different than inside noodling. Don't ask me why. It's not about entertaining the neighbors.  I actually play WAY softer outside...the neighbors don't need to hear my train wrecks. It's just kind of peaceful at certain times. Plus...if it's nice....it's outside.  Every porch should have a geeetar on it.

Why it makes me happy - not sure if it is a song that I want to learn but it was fun tabbing out what my ear was hearing on some cool little single note stuff. I don't do enough of this single note noodling...it's good for the ear and the dexterity
