Why it makes me happy - strange town...different country...rent a car return...customs to clear....etc. It was nice to be at the gate so EARLY. With all of the things you can do at the airport, why would you add the stress of a time crunch get to you. I did some fancy footwork at the gate...boarded almost first and didn’t have to wait for the damn carryon people to cram their stuff overhead

Why it makes me happy - smooth....nobody in the seat next to me...sun over Mt Hood...lots of time to work and reflect and generate ideas.....and from taxi to the curb was 15 minutes which included baggage claim! Try to beat that!!!

Why it makes me happy - OK...I stayed at a “fancy smancy” downtown hotel for 5 days while they could accomodate me. For the last two nights, I had to move to the outskirts of town. Nope, I am NOT calling it low rent because that is where this lady works. She had a hand written note delivered to my room this morning....including some of the things I told her at check in. This place gets more stars than that hoity toity place. Gebra, it is written, you rock!

Why it makes me happy- I was returning the guitar that I had rented for the week. I was running ahead of time. I said, “what could put the cherry on top of this sundae?” Took a chance to see if a guitar instructor was available....and there was. It was like I had coverage from above. Brian Paulson at Long&McQuade, Vancouver, was PHENOMENOL for what he showed me on the fly. I am inspired!

Just Another Day in the Life!

Why it happened - there are some things I’m on top of

Why it makes me happy - I get to the venue about an hour early....which is ON TIME considering the importance of this deal. I get one foot out of the rental car and....POP...the key button on my jacket snags and flies to the parking lot floor. No worries...no stress...I pop the trunk, go to my toiletries kit, the sewing kit is there and, thanks to Ms Wolf’s teachings from Bachelor Living back in high school, I pop that baby back on. Easy. Now...what if I had been like most people? THAT stress on a day like today may have sent them over the edge.

Why it makes me happy - with meetings on campus, most of the venues were closed...well...except for that one on the first floor that had the line out the door.....for basically pizza. Pizza!!! If I was that hungry, I would chew my arm off first ...let alone settle for pizza! Or, I’d say, “I guess this is my intermittent fast day!”  But, I didn’t feel like fasting. I took the road less travelled. I ventured on to the 3rd floor that was scarcely populated and came across a LOVELY toasted ham and cheese on a croissant!

Why it makes me happy - first, I am so happy that I could text chat. I love that feature these days. Sure, you have to get past the robot for real action. Not hard. I came in looking for something that was worth about $60 as a courtesy to my loyalty.  I didn't just get that....I got a TON more! Should they have reached out and offered it to me without my inquiry? Probably. Yet, I also could always ask. Glad I did! I am thrilled

Cool because I need to go "into the ground" with them in days to come.  Apple Cider Vinegar - I have been drinking a tonic that includes turmeric. Yet, I was pleased enough by what I saw to add ACV to my daily list.
