Why it makes me happy - another great meeting.....so many members coming up and thanking me for what I am doing.....nothing better than people appreciating the good that you are contributing to their lives. There is nothing greater than truly serving others.

I checked in just before the deadline to change lineups today...something I never have done before...and found out one of my starting players had withdrawn from the golf tournament. THAT move vaulted me to the top of the leaderboard on day 1

Why it makes me happy - we all have acquired lamps of various sorts. Some require special bulbs. Yeah....you can't just go to the local grocery store or Home Depot for them when they burn out. In this case, it had been burned out for awhile....and I tolerated not using that part of the lamp. I made the trip out of my way...got the bulb.....and found another cool store while I was in transit. Life is good!

Why it makes me happy - what a difference a couple of accent pieces make to a place! I never would have guessed. The best part....didn't have to spend a fortune for them and couldn't have made a much better selection if I had.

Why it makes me happy - we all have rememberances...some EXTREMELY special. I was so happy to find one that caused a very sick person to call me and say, "that was the nicest thing that anyone has ever done for me." I was afraid I had lost it....you don't want to lose things like that.

Why it makes me happy - I had a bunch of what I call "tolerations" as they relate to electricity. I did a remodel awhile back and the the electrician never came back for the punch list. Since then, a few other things cropped up. I got these guys in and to watch them knock them all out in no time....with no trips to the hardware store by me.....awesome!

Why it makes me happy - it was a touch on the cold and foggy side....just not much of a January golfer these days. I got to play with a guy I don't normally tee it up with. Hit a few pure shots. A good time had by all....even if I paid at the end....AGAIN!

Why it makes me happy - it was a cold, wet morning. There was a slight sprinkle and the wind was kicking up. One of the guys in the group said, "I'm going in." Me and the other guy decided to follow his lead. Within 5-10 minutes, it was raining pretty hard. Ahhhhh......staying warm and dry....always a HappyUP!!!

<----cold days can call for extreme measures on the golf course. Who says golf carts don't have seat warmers?

Why it makes me happy - if you have something in your life that is a minor irritation...no big...just something you put up with...it is a toleration. I zapped the dimmer switch, the gas can, and an appliance today. Zapping ONE toleration on any day is a good thing.

Why it happened - I was thinking of an old song

Why it makes me happy - I saw a series on YouTube of the original singers doing DoWop hits from the 60's and early 70's. It was cool because the singers were all sitting there as the audience. They would pull one person up....you would have no idea who they were...until they started to burst into "Spooky" or "Dizzy" or "I love you more today than yesterday." It was that kind of music and great to hear and see the artists today.

Why it happened - a little skill

Why it makes me happy - my adversary had hit the green....and boldly claimed how he was going to put it to me by making his putt. I had missed the green into a very tough spot. I gauged where I needed to pitch the ball....figured it would bounce a little right...then roll back to the left. I ALMOST holed it out....it puckered my opponent for a second. Easy par...got the tie on the hole.

Why it makes me happy - my car doesn't have a warning light...it has a "drive this straight to the workshop" light. I was glad that there just may have been a misfire and all I needed to do was have the computer reset. Better from a cost perspective...and a walking perspective as I didn't have a ride lined up for sure!
