Why it makes me happy -love it when transplanted Toastmasters find us and join. They have a more sophisticated pallet. We not only gain a new person to help out but it is affirmation that we remain to be an attractive place to join.

Why it makes me happy -yep....I grouse about the summer heat......so I BASQUE in THIS weather. This is what HappyUP!!! s are all about.  It's OK to be unhappy about things when they go bad.... but ...if you have to do that, you are obliged to CELEBRATE when it turns the other way

Why it makes me happy - nice and informal. The venue worked as well as it did last time. Great turnout. Sure, it could have been more...but we didn't put excessive effort in. These days, you have to travel across different venues. Not everyone is on FB all the time (I'm sure not). Picking up that phone is still in style.
