Why it makes me happy - it is NOT my favorite thing to do...but I am enjoying it more. Dare say, I am even getting a little better at it. I was using some focus technique. I love what I heard a guy say, “we are so good at distraction because that is what we practice everyday. Practice focus.”  This was a HUGE Aha for me. My focus muscle had gotten a little weak. That’s all. It’s not that I can’t...or you can’t. It just feels hard when we do because we do so little of it. When we do, we stop because it just is easier to be distracted. That’s not how things work. You have to develop the weak muscle in this area. Yes, self-discipline is involved but it is really just building one’s concentration

Why it makes me happy - the people at BF Deli were fantastic....Aldon at Sunrise Health was a wealth of knowledge....the swing through Hobby Lobby could not have been quicker. Even picked up a couple of things that are “nice to haves” that were not on the list. I did it all tooling around in the 2015 CRV of my brother’s. GREAT little ride that is perfect for around town!

Why it makes me happy - some might say there was NO WAY I should be thinking I would “go low” after what happened on the front 9. I scored poorly...the guy I was GIVING strokes to shot 2 under 34 and it easily could have been a 32. I was getting waxed. Yet, I KNEW I would shoot 34 on the back 9. Did I do it? No.  It doesn’t matter. If it wasn’t for 2 bad swings it would have been 36. Drop a putt or two that could have gone in, I would have been right there. The point: I LOVE how my brain is working on the golf course

Why it makes me happy - I was in a rush. Who has times for breakfast? THIS GUY. Threw the following into the V-mix in: coconut water, flax seed, chia seed, walnuts, 1/2 avocado, blueberries, some beet, spinach, kale, 2 mandarin oranges, turmeric, a jalapeño, carrot, celery....and put it on the road with me. It lasted me all the way through the front 9.  THAT is a bunch of serious health!

Why it makes me happy -it was AMAZING what this little girl learned. She impressed her parents and grandparents.....and her desire to learn was fantastic. It was joyous watching her giggle while we made up the story that would help her remember the material. A 12 year old learned the names of the first 20 elements of the periodic table...in order.....in less than 15 minutes!

Why it makes me happy - why do adults like playing with children? Because they give themselves permission to be children. Why it makes me happy- Mike at Apple was GREAT! I got an hour of one on one. Cassie at LoveSac has been very helpful. I stopped by Restoration Hardware just to browse....they had a ROBE there. It was on sale and would do the job. I needed a new one forever and wasn’t even shopping for one. Then, right across the aisle, I saw Crate N Barrel. “Hey, I need a teapot...a really cool black one. I wonder if they would.......”...no sooner did I step in the door but ...BAM!!!...there it was. In and out in minutes!!!
